Once Upon a Time in Texas...With a Bug Named “It”
Story Time: Two Years Ago…
My youngest at the time, started to cry in the bathroom...bug...bug...bug... I already told my husband about this large bug seen at zero dark thirty. I volun-told him, he gets to go in after it.
He comes out and stated "this was not the bug your looking for."
Literally, a few minutes ago my son had spotted "IT" (that's what I named the bug because both girls know how to spell and I really didn't want to hear their cries of world ending doom.) He begins the bug whine again.
Oh yes...we meet again IT. I told my husband they fly and I'm too short to not break the broom in attempts to remove the "winged beast". I again retreat to the room.
In one swift nonbreaking broom movement he hits the target and IT flutters down to the lower end of the wall. Both my husband and I call Gremlin, our mighty bug hunter...she doesn't come.
IT is still alive; my husband sweeps it out the front door. my son cries "noooo don't let out Gremlin!" Gremlin still doesn't give a hoot....
IT is safely outside, and we are onto our normal routine.
Either way, it was my first uninvited visitor I did not want to see. Whenever, I do meet my first snake there will be a post. No, I don't want a snake in the home, however we shall find out about Texas and its wildlife and if the saying is true... is "everything is bigger in Texas."
