Perfect Pizzas-For a Night In.

Full Disclosure- I DID NOT Purchase a pizza stone. I DO NOT have an Amazon affiliate account. Purchasing from the links below DO NOT give me a small portion of a sale. These are my fictional ideas alone. Written for the purpose of completing my Search Engine Optimization (SEO) course. I wanted a “fancy piece of paper” stating I know my stuff. :)

Why Go Out When You Can Stay In?

Pizza is a universal meal that everyone can enjoy. Tired of traffic? The struggles of finding a parking spot? Don’t go out to eat, just stay at home and make a customizable pizza for you and your loved one(s).

Not a Chef? Not a Problem!

You don’t need to be a 5-Star Chef to make pizza and you don’t even need a pizza oven. Find the recipe such as this one for the perfect crust (I used gluten free flour), a savory sauce (or save time with a jarred sauce), and you choose how to top your pizza.

What’s the secret?

The secret to getting fresh homemade pizza is getting the oven temperature just right and having a surface that heats the crust evenly. Crust that is soggy or hard enough to crack a tooth is no good.

What Surfaces Can I Use to Make a Pizza-Sheet Pans or Pizza Stone?

Sheet pans can do the trick! However, my recommendation is to invest in a pizza stone if your loved ones love pizza like mine. My preferred pizza stone is made by Emile Henry. This pizza stone is dish washer safe and can be used inside a stove or grill. My next recommendation is Cast Elegance because it is more budget friendly, can be used in the same way, BUT it doesn't go in the dishwasher. I think dishwasher friendly is worth the increased price for easy clean up after any homemade meal.

The key to baking the perfect crust is getting the temperature inside the oven to be between 450 and 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Lay your pizza stone inside so it will heat with the stove. Using the pizza stone when the oven is done preheating. Place your favorite recipe for your pizza on top. The pizza stone will ensure even cooking for the perfect crispy crust to your freshly topped pizza.

Which Pizza Stone is Right for You?

The short answer the one that fits best for you and your family. Do you have a space where you can store a pizza stone? (They can break when stacked) Are you needing a stone for indoor oven, outdoor grill, or something else? Do you mind waiting for the stone to heat up? Pizza stones heat slower in comparison to their pizza steel counterpart. These are all things to consider when you are purchasing a pizza stone.

Let's try it out together!

Gather your supplies:

Semi-Fresh Ingredients

Gluten Free Flour, Dairy Free Cheese, Jarred Sauce, and gluten free pepperoni.

Making the homemade dough. Using the perfect crust recipe above.

The recipe made two pizza doughs. In which I follow the original recipe and then added garlic, basil, and oregano to the next dough ball.

It was delicious and filling. My non-allergy family enjoyed the second batch of dough more.

Prepare your soon to be pizza! And impatiently wait.

Sincerely…how can you wait?

It looks AMAZING!

Admire this beauty.

Enjoy the better than delivery, fresh homemade pizza!
