Reading Journal- A NetGalley Experience.

Reading Journals- What are they?

A reading journal is a personal way that readers can record their reading journey. In little or great detail reading journals are unique to the owner. Readers can record titles that they have read, interesting facts or favorite quotes, and rate them on a variety of themes.

Who Can Have a Reading Journal?

You, Me, your neighbor, the kids.

Why Participate?

Why not participate? It is a unique experience that can be fun for all ages.

Where Can You Get One?

There are many ways to acquire a reading journal. You can create one in Canva or another similar platform. Handwrite the information in a notebook or purchase one from the store. This year I found an article by We are Bookish Presented By NetGalley called How to Plan for Your 2025 Reading Challenge written by Kelly Gallucci. In this article, Kelly shared the 2025 reading journal provided by NetGalley. This took a huge mental load off of me, I didn’t have to create one from scratch and since it is a download. I don’t have to worry about losing my progress with our upcoming move.

My Experience

First, I downloaded the user guide for the NetGalley Reading Journal. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into so this seemed like a good place to start. The user guide was concise and easy to follow. I found this user guide to be extremely helpful in understanding how to set up the guide in either Goodnotes or Xodo. This user guide walks you through the steps of  determining your device, downloading your journal, and uploading it to your preferred notetaking device. This guide had been so helpful that I was eager to dig into the reading journal. It is important to note that the work you do inside the journal will not affect your NetGalley account.

The Reading Journal is full of amazing content. Check it out below.

Potential information you could track!

The sky is the limit. Reading journals are for you!

Forming a habit or tracking one?

NetGalley Reading Journal has a space for that!

Challenges Making Reading Fun.

I love activity bingo. NetGalley Reading Journal has a space for The A to Z reading challenge and bingo.

My Bookcase!

Remember reading journals are unique to you the reader. In the chaos of my life right now. I just want to use the My Bookcase section. I printed out this page from the PDF NetGalley provided and stuck it into the back of my binder. (I was sold at the cat laying on the shelf)

I hope you find what you are looking for. There is no right way to document your reading adventures. I truly enjoyed this opportunity provided by NetGalley. I highly recommend reading both the NetGalley User Guide and exploring the NetGalley Reading Journal.

Thank you NetGalley for taking a huge mental task off of my brain by offering your reading journal.
