3 Cookbooks to Checkout
First, Binging with Babish written by Andrew Rea. If you ever wanted to know what some of your favorite movies and televison show foods tasted like check this book out. Or watch his YouTube channel. Total food fan geek out moment when I found this book on our library shelf. Food inspired by Deadpool, The Office, Adventure Time, and many others. This book has 100 recipes of just epic-ness.
Second, Toni Okamoto’s The Friendly Vegan Cookbook. Her cookbooks are amazing; they beautiful to look at and recipes are presented in a way that are uniquely her. If you are looking for a vegan cookbook, I highly recommend any of her books.
Third, The Campout Cookbook Inspired Recipes for Cooking Around the Fire and Under the Stars. Written by Marnie Hanel & Jen Stevenson. Chapter 5 is all about smores, and it is my favorite. However, I feel like this book is perfect for those who want to venture into camping and cooking around the fire. I would recommend this book to scout leaders, beginner adventurers and advanced adventurers.
2 Cookbooks I Own
First, is The Everything Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free Cookbook written by Audrey Roberts. She is the creator of MamaKnowsGlutenFree.com. This seems to be the Holy Grail of allergy friendly cookbooks. Highly recommended in every support group I am in for food allergies. I had to see it for myself and it is totally worth the purchase for those needing to be gluten-free and dairy-free.
The next one is a two for one deal…because its by the same author Audrey Dunham. I absolutely love her cookbooks and I hope she creates a new one soon. They are gorgeous, filled with beautiful pictures and tasty recipes. It’s a super bonus that it was locally sourced. See my goofiness below. I splurged on them and got myself a signed copy…which is something I don’t normally do…why…because I rather eat my money. (You know spend money on food…and besides my allergy diet gets expensive) Audrey Dunham’s Vegan Christmas Cookies & Cocoa and Vegan Thanksgiving Dinner and Pies can be found at her website.
